The Black Rep Presents: On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson

N/A
Grandel Theatre
3610 Grandel Square
St. Louis, MO 63108
USA
Map to Grandel Theatre

The script being used for this production is the one Thompson modified for the Tony Award-winning 2005 Broadway revival with an African-American cast including James Earl Jones and Leslie Uggams.
Lorna Littleway will direct The Black Rep’s ON GOLDEN POND, with Ron Himes, Founder and Producing Director of The Black Rep, and Linda Kennedy in the lead roles of Norman and Ethel Thayer, the long-married couple who each summer visit their home on a lake called Golden Pond in Maine. This summer, they are joined by their daughter, estranged from her father, her new fiancée and his young son. The reconciliation between father and daughter, and the growing relationship between Norman and his new stepgrandson provide the sparks for the humor and tenderness of the play.

ON GOLDEN POND by Ernest Thompson, the great family comedy/drama which was the basis for the acclaimed Henry Fonda/Katherine Hepburn film, will open The Black Rep’s 35th Anniversary Season.

• Wednesdays January 4th, 18th, & February 1st at 7pm
• Thursdays at 7pm
• Fridays at 8pm
• Saturdays at 3pm & 8pm
• Sundays at 3pm
